Book Review: Same Life, New Story by Jan Silvious

Have you wanted to make changes in your life? Can't figure out what's holding you back? Within the first chapter, I knew Jan was on to something that even I, a Christian for over 15 years, could apply to my life today. Getting stuck in a rut is no fun. Getting out of that rut can change our lives.

In Same Life, New Story, Jan brings to light the message that we can change our lives if we allow God to change our stories. The Master Author can edit us out of our circumstances and into an abundant life if we would decide we've had enough of various oppressions, generational curses, and more. A ten-week Bible Study directed at women, it can be used for personal growth and awareness as well as group study.

With examples from her own life, the lives of others she's counseled, and our beloved Bible women, Jan leads us into reflection and consideration of our deepest desires for personal change. With wisdom from God's Word, she leads us to discover His plan for our lives.

I couldn't make it through the first chapter without yearning for more. Easy to read and entirely able to relate to, I give it five stars. With determination, God's grace, and a willingness to change, any one of us can change our stars...
