~ Wisdom for Wednesday ~

In light of the fact that it was Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday on Monday, Haiti had a tremendous earthquake (now two), and the elections are in process, here is some Wisdom for Wednesday:

"The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was, 'If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?' But, the Good Samaritan reversed the question, 'If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?'"
 ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy."
 ~ St. Francis of Assisi

"He who despises his neighbor sins;
But he who has mercy on the poor, happy is he."
~ Proverbs 14:21

  2. I was just reading in Matthew today how when we do it unto one of the "least", we have done it unto Christ! What a privilege.
