I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:13-14
I don't know who's going through a rough time right now, who wishes God would answer faster than He is, who needs to make a decision today and doesn't know what to do, or who is struggling with their faith.
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:13-14
I don't know who's going through a rough time right now, who wishes God would answer faster than He is, who needs to make a decision today and doesn't know what to do, or who is struggling with their faith.
But, God says to wait on Him. Have hope. Believe
you'll see the goodness of God in your life. Don't make a rash decision
or go with your emotions. Be courageous enough to wait it out. God will
provide in His perfect timing. Be encouraged. Wait on the Lord!
I had to share this today. It came up in my daily reading, and God wants to let y'all know that He is working things out for the good in your life.
Great post, Alycia, and a timely word. Something I've reminded myself -- God often hides us. Whether we're not ready or the circumstances aren't right, He always knows best.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reminder.
Hugs from VA :)
You're welcome, Susan. I'm so glad He speaks to us.
DeleteWell now, I'm going to take that word and tuck it right up there next to the gazillion other times I've claimed it! Really needed it today--had a great time speaking at a women's conference at our church (actually had this verse in my notes) and then went into Lifeway to see if my book was there. They ordered only one which they sold the first day--no more on the shelf. Know I left this in God's hands a long time ago but felt strained by my lack of visibility (and lack of interest in hustling). Just plunked self down in B&N with a coffee and need of a word from the Lord...Voila!I'll take it.
ReplyDeleteMarcia,
DeleteI'm so glad it spoke to you. God is truly faithful to provide just the right word at just the right time, isn't He? I pray for peace in the midst of the publishing hoopla. I'm thankful for your words and know that God will use them for His purposes. That one person is probably one who needed to hear what you've written the most right now. Hopefully they'll get more copies in soon! Have a great time drinking your coffee. (I wish I could get out for a cup, but it isn't going to be anytime soon.)
I'll give a loud AMEN to that:)
