I've written since Mom taught me how to hold a pencil, and I've never stopped. My first journal had Garfield on the cover and came with a lock and key. I've since resorted to using journals of all shapes and sizes. If I can write in it, it's good.
I've written poetry, essays, compositions, press releases, blog posts, devotions, articles, and am working on writing my first series of women's contemporary fiction novels.
I've been published in Thriving Family magazine, ChristianDevotions.us, Faith and FAMILY: A Devotional Pathway for Families and more. I am a member of ACFW.
I am Senior Editor of Inspire a Fire. I'm also a contributing member at The Christian PEN. I freelance edit fiction and non-fiction (see Editing Services tab for rates).
My blog, The Thoughtful Spot, won first place in the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference 2011 Blog Contest. I also won third place in the 2012 BRMCWC Flash Fiction Contest.
I moderate several Yahoo! groups and Facebook pages associated with writing and editing.I also run multiple Twitter accounts.
My passions include my relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, my husband and marriage, my step-son and the dynamics of having a successful step-family, my children (three boys, one girl) and parenting (as well as their adventures). I love to minister to and encourage women and writers.
In my "free time," I enjoy crafting, reading, eating chocolate and drinking coffee. I love spending time with friends, watching movies and television, and wandering through book stores. My favorite activities include taking pictures, horseback riding, target shooting, and hiking. I've always dreamed of owning a horse. I'd like to adopt two more children some day. These are the things that I love and live for.
